Here are some of the ways Kotys Wealth Professionals can help you solve everyday financial issues

Ask us about EDUCATION FUNDING

With the rising cost of higher education, setting up a sound college savings plan is a necessity for every family — and the younger the child, the more time for assets to grow. We can help you take advantage of such vehicles as 529 Plans, Coverdell Education Savings Accounts, minor trusts and other funding opportunities, thoroughly integrating them into your master financial plan.

Ask us about INSURANCE QUESTIONS

Having the correct insurance coverage is primary to every financial plan, as it is the answer to protecting your assets and your family's well-being from the unexpected. We can help you make the right decisions on life, long-term care, disability and other types of insurance, and determine whether you have enough, too much or too little. What is more, as an independent firm, we have no ties to any particular insurance company, nor do we receive commissions for selling insurance products.

Ask us about CREDIT DECISIONS

From mortgages to credit cards to business loans, every family is faced with a variety of borrowing decisions that can be costly if not properly selected. We can help you navigate the minefields of credit applications, provide guidance on interest rates and terms, and suggest alternatives you may not have considered such as lines of credit or other loan options.

Ask us about TAX STRATEGIES

As part of your financial team, we are delighted to work hand in hand with your CPA or other accounting professional to help minimize your tax obligations. Naturally, we are experts at putting tax-advantaged investments to work — such as municipal bonds, qualified plans and annuities. And we can help you make decisions on exercising stock options, selling securities at year-end to offset capital gains, and other complex situations.

Ask us about RETIREMENT MATTERS

In the years leading up to retirement, and once you are there, you have a steady stream of decisions to make — and we are here to help. We will advise you on the best investment vehicles for building your nest egg. When to begin taking withdrawals? How to maximize your monthly Social Security payout? We have the advanced tools to analyze multiple "what-if" situations and recommend the right strategies for your goals.

Ask us about BUSINESS TRANSITIONS

Whether you are building a business, have inherited a family business or are looking to exit, we can recommend sound strategies designed to save you money and ease your effort. Our knowledge encompasses such areas as setting up buy/sell agreements, assisting with employee stock ownership plans, and executive compensation packages, and transferring ownership of your business within your family.

Ask us about ESTATE PLANNING

Minimizing the estate taxes your family must pay — and avoiding probate — are keys to the strength of the legacy you leave. We can work side-by-side with your estate planning attorney to help you reach your future goals. Our services include making certain assets are properly titled ... regular estate plan reviews to keep everything up to date ... and making provisions for children, grandchildren, and charitable organizations.

Ask us about LONG-TERM CARE ARRANGEMENTS

Increasingly, many investors are concerned about potential long-term care needs and how it will affect their finances, and these expenses are one of the greatest economic risks that older Americans face. We are glad to explore the many strategies for funding future healthcare support for you and your loved ones. One of the greatest misconceptions on long term care funding is people believe incorrectly that Medicare will foot the bill, according to an AARP study. From the basics of long-term care insurance to the intricacies of annuities, or even self-funding we will provide the specialized insight and analysis you need to confidently prepare for tomorrow's challenges.

Most financial “sales people” are trained to answer this question with things like, “I would put my own mother’s money in this” or“I have my money here, so if it is good enough for me it should be good enough for you.” Our experience shows us these comments are often followed up with presentations about equity-index annuities or other complex products which need to be sold because they are difficult to understand and pay insurance agents and advisors outrageous up-front commissions.

Our answer to this question is that we certainly invest our money in portfolios that we manage, however they are designed to meet our individual goals and risk profile. The portolios we build for you will follow the same discipline process as the ones we build for ourselves, but will certainly be unique to your financial picture.

Our clients' goals very from growing successful enterprises to spending time with grandchildren.
