Founder and CEO

Wes has over 20 years of financial planning and investment management experience which he brings to everyone that he has the pleasure to work with. He takes great pride in being a second-generation financial adviser, and before launching Kotys Wealth Management in 2007, Wes spent nearly a decade with two major broker-dealers. Wes had one of the fastest-growing offices in the country.

Wes believes one of his purposes in life is to help people obtain and maintain a wealthy mindset, which means making wise investments, planning for future generations, and constantly moving forward in generosity. Wes has a real passion for building a solid financial plan unique to each client, in order to help make their dreams come true. Wealth in pure form is not only about money, it is a resource that allows individuals and institutions to reach long term goals.

Community involvement and education are values Wes holds very close to his heart. He graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Throughout his professional career, Wes has served his community in several roles and continues to be a valued member throughout the community.

On a personal note, Wes and Sarah have been married for over 20 years and have one son, Dominic, who is active in baseball and golf, so you can find Wes watching his son play. Wes enjoys staying active through hiking, fishing, hunting, cycling, golf, and tennis.

SARAH KOTYS

Sarah serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Kotys Wealth Professionals, handling accounting and internal auditing for the firm. Her background is as an accountant and former auditor for the state of Indiana, and academically, she is an honors graduate of Purdue University, where she earned her B.S. in accounting.

In her current role, Sarah ensures that Kotys Wealth Professionals operates efficiently but also that the firm is intricately involved with our community, and local charitable and cultural organizations. She has more than a decade of experience as an accountant in small business settings and was an experienced governmental accountant and auditor with the Indiana State Board of Accounts.

On a personal note, Sarah is married to Wes and they have been married for over 20 years. They have one son, Dominic, who is active in baseball and golf, so a lot of their free time is spent watching him doing the things he enjoys. When out of the office, Sarah enjoys cooking, tennis, golf, and traveling. She is a member of Kappa Kappa Kappa-Iota, an organization whose purpose is to promote charity, culture, and education locally and state-wide.

Chief Operating Officer

Megan joined the Kotys team in 2014. In her role, she manages the firm's internal systems, manages office processes, is the first point of contact for prospects, and oversees office efficiencies. She is also responsible for all marketing efforts and client events. Megan loves working with clients and truly getting to know them. Her teammates tell Megan that she is the cornerstone connecting all efforts to provide the impeccable client experience Kotys Wealth Professionals are known for.

She is a graduate of Sawyer College and an experienced HR Professional with a PHR® (Professional in Human Resources) designation and has experience in the travel and banking industries. Megan loves working and living within the same community.

On a personal note, Megan has been married to her husband for over 20 years and has three active children, Teagan, Cole, and Jaxson. When she is not in the office, she is most likely at a sporting event cheering on her kids. She enjoys outdoor adventures, sports, crafting, fitness, shopping, and volunteering. Megan is also an active member of Kappa Kappa Kappa-Iota, a charitable organization whose purpose is to promote charity, culture, and education within the local community.

RYAN KOTYS

Ryan graduated with honors from Purdue University with a degree in business management and marketing. In 2011 Ryan joined the Kotys team as a Wealth Advisor. Ryan focuses on growing trusting relationships by providing guidance for clients planning for retirement and beyond. In addition, he also oversees 401k retirement plans, reviews portfolio risk management, and assists in building and maintaining formal financial plans. He also enjoys the blessing of working with family and friends.

Having overcome some personal health setbacks, Ryan is also passionate about teaming up with clients to become healthy not only financially, but physically, and spiritually as well.

Ryan is active in the community through his involvement in the Valparaiso Chamber of Commerce, Trauma Coaching Coalition, and serving in an active role within a large church family. He is also an active member of the Purdue Alumni Association. On a personal note, Ryan enjoys creative writing and staying active through golf, basketball, and cycling.

Drew Vesling, CPA

Drew Vesling, CPA

WEALTH ADVISOR

Drew joined the Kotys team in 2025 as a Wealth Advisor, transitioning from a career in valuation services with one of the world’s largest professional services firms.

He made the move to Kotys to use his knowledge, skills, and charisma to have a positive influence on others. Drew’s passion for personalized service ensures that clients feel supported and empowered throughout their financial journey.

He graduated with distinction honors from Indiana University, Kelley School of Business, with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance. Drew also holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.

On a personal note, Drew is getting married in June to his college sweetheart, Samantha. Outside the office, he enjoys golfing, listening to live music, downhill skiing, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Erik joined Kotys Wealth Professionals as a Wealth Advisor in 2024, bringing with him 7 years of industry experience, from a large brokerage firm. Erik made the move to Kotys to enhance his offering to clients with truly independent and fiduciary advice. He has been serving clients in Folsom, CA and across the USA offering financial planning, and investment management.

Prior to working in the financial services industry, Erik spent time collaborating and consulting with organizations such as Bank of America, Eagle Global Logistics, Carmike Cinemas, Citrix, Amazon, and Cisco. Working with these firms Erik gained valuable experience in business operations and strategic planning. He is able to pull from these experiences in the strategies and planning offered to his clients.

Erik has also earned the Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®) credential through rigorous coursework and final exam. The Value Acceleration Methodology™ is learned in order to best integrate a business owner’s business, personal, and financial goals into one strategy that is executed by a team of advisors (financial, legal, accounting, etc) to advise on the best possible exit strategies.

In his personal life, Erik, and his wife Kate, are grounded in commitment to positive change and are dedicated to reshaping the prevailing model of childhood education. They co-founded a family education center rooted in Christian principles, to develop young leaders. Additionally, Erik’s vision reaches beyond the classroom, impacting Bay Area children aged 2 through 8 using the joy of soccer to instill in them principles like integrity and leadership.

Erik and Kate have two small children and reside in Folsom, CA. Erik enjoys plenty of outdoor activities like golf, hunting, or exploring the CA coast and the high Sierras.

Mariza is a Client Relations Specialist at Kotys Wealth Professionals. As a Client Relations Specialist with Kotys Wealth Professionals, Mariza plays a key role in fostering strong relationships with our valued clients. She is the first point of contact when engaging with our office whether in-person or by phone. Her attention to detail and commitment to client satisfaction makes her a valuable asset to our team.

Prior to joining the Kotys team in April of 2024, Mariza obtained her Pharmacy Tech license from the University of Southern Indiana and worked in the pharmaceutical field. She also has administrative experience in both the medical and logistics industries. Mariza also worked as a legal assistant for a local law firm where she assisted multiple attorneys and support staff.

On a personal note, Mariza enjoys spending time with her dog, attending church, traveling, being an aunt, and trying new restaurants.

Lori joined Kotys Wealth Professionals in June of 2024 as a Client Relations Specialist. In her role, she is the first point of contact for the Folsom, CA branch office and plays an essential role in developing strong relationships with our valued clients. Lori’s meticulous attention to detail and her unwavering commitment to providing excellent client service makes her an asset to our team.

On a personal note, Lori and her husband, Jeff, are the proud parents of five children and doting grandparents to ten grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent together as a testament to the enduring bonds of love and family. She is an avid enthusiast of various hobbies from whipping up culinary delights to crochet to jigsaw puzzles to traveling with her husband. Lori finds joy in the simple pleasures of life.
